What is this tool?
The Open Graph Preview tool lets you check how a web page will look when it's shared as a link on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, WhatsApp and most other platforms that use the Open Graph protocol. Instead of publishing a page and hoping the share card looks right, you can test your og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url values here first.
How to use it:
- Type your intended page title into the og:title field — aim for roughly 60–90 characters so it isn't cut off on most platforms.
- Add a short, compelling summary in og:description — around 200 characters is a safe target.
- Paste the full URL of your share image into og:image. For the sharpest results, use an image that is 1200 × 630px (a 1.91:1 ratio), which is the size most networks expect.
- Enter the page's live og:url so the preview card shows the correct domain name, just like Facebook or LinkedIn would.
The preview card updates instantly as you type, and the tool also generates ready-to-use <meta> tags you can copy straight into the <head> of your page. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing you enter is sent anywhere, and there's no sign-up required.
